Join us for a day out to Pickering for its 1940s weekend, and experience a town transformed by the sights, sounds and spirit of the 1940s.
Join us for a day out to Pickering for its 1940s weekend, and experience a town transformed by the sights, sounds and spirit of the 1940s. Local businesses, attractions and volunteers will bring the era to life with themed décor, entertainment and immersive activities, vintage car displays, costumed characters, live music, and dancing in the town centre and local pubs. A return shuttle bus will operate between Pickering and Eden Camp (approx. £5; payable on the day), where there will be live performances of 1940s music, dancers in period costume, and access to 22 original prisoner of war huts filled with wartime exhibits.
