Summer Day Trips are now on sale!
Our May to August day excursions are now available to book! Our administrations team have been working hard to produce this summer brochure, filled with exciting railway journeys, flower shows, lunch outings, historic houses, and so much more. Fancy some city centre shopping without the struggle of finding somewhere to park? Want to see a live show with all the planning and ticket handling taken care of for you? Need somewhere exciting to take the family during the school holidays? G-Line have got you covered.
The familiar staples in your summer calendar are back, from Llandudno’s Victorian Extravaganza and Morecambe’s Vintage by the Sea Festival, to the blooming Laburnum Arch at National Trust’s Bodnant Garden, and of course, Southport Flower Show – this year celebrating a monumental 100 years! In addition, we have 18 brand-new day excursions on offer, which you can view below.
Seats are selling fast for King Charles' Highgrove Garden - with only 26 spaces available per tour, we have very limited availability. Visitors can enjoy an exclusive 90-minute tour of His Majesty's treasured Garden, followed by a delicious set lunch in the Orchard Restaurant. Your experienced guide will reveal the gardens’ history and sources of inspiration, and explain the hidden curios and horticultural innovations behind them.

Don’t forget, online bookings will receive £1.00 per person discount (due to no admin fee), however you are very welcome to book your excursions over the telephone or in person if you prefer. New Excursions
After a year of centenary celebrations, Flying Scotsman is making its return to the National Railway Museum in York. Visitors will be able to get up close to the iconic engine with an accessible ramp to access the footplate and see inside the cab.
Enjoy a morning visit to Bakewell for its popular market. Next, it's on to Tissington for its magnificent Well Dressings, a fascinating Derbyshire tradition that involves decorating wells & springs with beautiful petals and other natural materials.
Enjoy a morning in Penrith, a bustling market town renowned for its wealth of specialist shops. We continue this afternoon to Dalemain Mansion for a specialist guided tour allowing access to unseen areas of the House, complete with Cream Tea.
Our day begins in the market town of Ormskirk, offering around 100 stalls. This afternoon we visit Bygone Times in Great Eccleston, a treasure trove of fascinating objects from yesteryear, with antiques, collectibles, and unique memorabilia.
Located between Harrogate and Ripon, The Inn South Stainley is an atmospheric and stylish country pub. Here we include a 3-course lunch with tea or coffee, followed by some time to relax in the bar, or have a wander through the large, mature gardens.
A Splendid Day Out is Morecambe's Premier Steampunk Festival, renowned for its friendly atmosphere. Explore the Steampunk Market, indulge in tea & cakes, and join in with the games and competitions alongside entertainment and wonderful displays.

Our morning is spent at Samlesbury Hall, where its first-ever Food & Drink Festival is taking place. This afternoon we take you for a guided tour of the Grade I-listed Astley Hall, which after two years of renovation work, is now open to the public.
Wrexham's outdoor market offers a fantastic selection of local traders selling a range of street food, handmade crafts, gifts & more! Alongside Wrexham's market traditions, the town offers a mix of independent retailers and big-name brands.
This musical masterpiece revolutionised Broadway, with creator Michael Bennett using real-life testimonies from late-night recording sessions with dancers. There's time for lunch at the Lowry Outlet before we take our seats for the matinee show.
After some free time in Buxton, we take our seats in Opera House for a matinee performance by the professional National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, as part of their annual festival, this year celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Enjoy free time to dine and shop in Manchester, before we take our seats for a matinee performance of the smash hit family musical 101 Dalmatians. This classic canine caper is brought to life with puppetry, spectacular choreography and witty songs.
This new lunch trip takes us to the Rutland Arms in Bakewell. Dating back to 1804, the Rutland Arms is an AA award winner and endorsed by Which? Magazine. After enjoying a 3-course lunch you can spend some leisure time exploring the picturesque town.

After a morning visit to Ilkley, we continue to Bolton Abbey, where we have time for a stroll through this beautiful landscape. The day ends with a nostalgic journey on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, with Cream Tea served on board.
Following a morning at Oswaldtwistle Mills, we are joined by a guide for a Tudor Tales-themed coach tour of the area, calling at two historic houses, Samlesbury Hall & Hoghton Tower, before ending with a visit to England's largest village, Whalley.
